In an attempt to lower our cleaning costs I bought a big jug of ammonia. Now, I know not to mix it with bleach but that is about the end of my knowledge with ammonia.

If I don't hear from anyone I'm going to assume that cleaning with straight ammonia isn't something that should be done. OK I'm off to nurse my brain cells!

The other day I mixed vinegar and bleach... not a great idea. I smelled a VERY strong smell and then decided to google it. I won't be doing THAT again!

Hey there! Ammonia is the only thing I use to mop floors! About 1/2 to 1 cup of ammonia in a half sink of water. It dries fast and doesn't streak.
p.s. you must always dilute the ammonia! :-)
